GLADWINTough competition helped the Gladwin wrestling team get a running start on the new year Saturday.The Flying G’s hosted the Gladwin Super Duals Team Tournament and wound up finishing second after a hard-fought 37-31 loss to Bay City Western in the championship meet.

STANDISHAvictory over Bullock Creek sent the Gladwin boys’ bowling team into the holiday break with a perfect record of 6-0.The Flying G’s put on a dominating performance at Main Street Lanes in Standish, winning both Baker games with a score of 329-254 to take 10 points to start it off.
