TAWASThe season came to an abrupt halt Friday night for the Gladwin hockey team.The Flying G’s fell behind the FNV Griffins 2-0 in the first period of their Division 3 regional semifinal and never recovered in a 5-4 loss that knocked them out of the playoffs.

FARWELLAfive-game losing streak came to an abrupt halt Friday night when the Gladwin girls’ basketball team rolled to a 53-26 victory at Farwell.“That was a much-needed pick-me-up for the team,” said Flying G’s coach Nic Taratuta.

GLADWINAn amazing winning steak grew to 19 Thursday night when the Gladwin boys’ basketball team rolled to a 78-51 victory over Farwell in the final home game of the season.The Flying G’s ran off to a 21-11 lead in the first quarter that expanded to 46-25 at the half.
