Crime Stoppers big game is coming back in February

The Detroit Lions Alumni are once again returning to Gladwin to play the Gladwin County Crime Stoppers in a fun-filled basketball game on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at the Gladwin High School.

Beaverton Wrestling split against Ogemaw and Farwell

BEAVERTON Parents of three teams packed the gymnasium of the Beaverton Jr/ Sr High school on Thursday night, the Beaverton Beavers hosting schools of Farwell and Ogemaw Heights. The Beavers split the competition, losing to the Falcons, and defeating the Eagles.

Bay City Thunder split games over the weekend

The Bay Area Thunder hockey team split a pair of games this past weekend. The Thunder lost Friday night 2-5 to FNV and picked up a 9-2 victory Saturday vs Southgate Anderson. Preston Pudvan had a big weekend scoring 3 goals with two assists followed by Trent Phillips with two goals and an assist.

Cross Country Top-20 Board

The Gladwin Cross-Country program is pleased to announce they will be erecting a top 20 board. This board will display the top twenty 5K performances run by our Flying G’s.

Beaverton boys Basketball defeated by Meridian

BEAVERTON Beaverton boys basketball dropped their first loss of the season on Friday in the Beavers home opener against the Meridian Mustangs 25-44. The Mustangs throttled the Beavers in the first quarter, shutting them out with a 12-0 run.

Losing streak continues for lady G’s basketball

GLADWIN The lady G’s basketball team struggle to shack a losing rut that now sits at five straight after losses to Clare and Farwell last week. Conference rival Clare Pioneers traveled to Gladwin last Wednesday, defeating the Flying G’s 56-45.

Beaverton’s Alex Pahl commits to Delta

BEAVERTON Beavers athletic senior Alex Pahl committed to Delta college, signing on a baseball scholarship for the school. “Delta was a perfect fit,” Pahl replied when asked about the decision to choose Delta.
