GLADWIN Gladwin’s varsity girls basketball could not have opened 2023 any better. First breaking their losing streak on January 3 when they hosted John Glenn then conquering the visiting Pinconning Spartans on Friday.

BEAVERTON The lady Beavers knew they were returning from the break against a very good Evart Wildcats team. Wednesday night’s game was exactly that, an elite team causing havoc and creating opportunities against a struggling Beaverton squad looking to get the season back on track.

Gladwin JV girls basketball crush Pinconning

GLADWIN The Gladwin Flying G’s girls JV basketball team pulverized the Pinconning Spartans Friday night by a score of 51-8. The Flying G’s succeeded by going on massive runs throughout the entire game, forcing several turnovers, and limiting the amount of fouls they committed.

Gladwin Boys JV Basketball remains undefeated

PINCONNING Entering the gymnasium of the Pinconning High School, the Gladwin Flying G’s JV boys basketball team was locked in a tight battle against the Pinconning Spartans. It was near the end of the first half, Gladwin driving to overtake the lead.

Beaverton bowling triumphant over conference foe last Wednesday

MIDLAND Beaverton traveled to Midland last Wednesday to Challenge the Farwell Eagles in bowling action at Valley Lanes. Both the boys and girls team returned home victorious.

G’s freshmen boys Basketball winners after commanding first half performance

PINCONNING The freshmen boys basketball squad rallied around Ben Verellen’s monstrous performance of 22 points Thursday night. Gladwin traveled to Pinconning, enjoying the bus ride home after a 47-24 victory over the Spartans.

BRECKENRIDGE Beaverton wrestling started 2023 on the road, visiting Breckenridge to face off with the Breckenridge Huskies and the Shepherd Blue Jays. The Beavers had an amazing evening, returning home 2-0 on the night.

Bay Area Thunder records fourth win of the season after victory over Tawas

BAY CITY T he Bay Area Thunder hockey team picked up their fourth win of the season last night in a 4-2 win over Tawas. Quinn Shorkey picked up a goal on his 17th birthday. Gavyn Centala extended his goal scoring streak to three games.
