BEAVERTON It was a slow start for the Beaverton Beavers baseball team Thursday night. The Pinconning Spartans took an early 1-0 lead in the night’s first of two games. The Spartans held the lead for four innings before the Beavers were able to break the scoreboard.

GLADWIN The Gladwin girls Track and Field team was in action last Wednesday, hosting the Pinconning Spartans, the Ogemaw Heights Falcons, and the Tawas Braves. Several girls soared to the top, taking first place in multiple events for the Flying G’s.

GLADWIN The Flying G’s varsity boys baseball team took on Meridian Thursday night in Gladwin. Game one ended in victory for the boys in blue, defeating the Meridian Mustangs 4-0. The Flying G’s also won game two by a final score of 14-1.

OGEMAW The Gladwin Jr. High Track team traveled to the Ogemaw Heights Stadium Thursday to compete with seven other schools. The young ladies finished in third place with 114.5 points. Traverse City East finished in first place with 195.5 points.

BEAVERTON Wednesday night, the Grand Opening! Beaverton’s newly reconstructed track was the star last Wednesday as the Beavers hosted the Flying G’s of Gladwin and the Pioneers of Clare for a Jack Pine Conference Track and Field extravaganza.
