Girls set new school Record for Gladwin at State Finals

GRAND RAPIDS The Forest Hills Eastern Athletic Field of Ada Township was the site for the 2023 MHSAA Division 2 Track and Field Individual State Finals. Gladwin sent five stars from their girls track team to the season finale event on Saturday, competing in four of the event’s 17 activities.

Gladwin boys Track finish season strong at State Finals

GRAND RAPIDS The Gladwin boys track and field team is coming off of one of its most successful seasons, with everything culminating at the MHSAA individual state finals over the past weekend, held at Forest Hills Eastern School.

Gladwin baseball wins second District title in three years

KINGSLEY Last year, Gladwin’s baseball program had an earlier exit in the playoffs, losing to Clare in the first game. This season, however, is a different story for the Flying G’s, winning their second District title in three years.

Beaverton’s season done after loss to Standish

BEAVERTON One victory away. The Beaverton Beavers baseball team came one game away from a District title on Friday, losing 10-3 to the Standish-Sterling Panthers in the District Finals. Beaverton had an amazing season. Sure there were a few bumps throughout, but nothing that wasn’t to be expected.

Gladwin girls softball comes up one short of District title

BIG RAPIDS The girls softball season wrapped up over the weekend. The girls traveled to Big Rapids for the District playoffs, coming within one game of being crowned District champions. The day started with a 7-1 victory for the Flying G’s, defeating the Ogemaw Heights Falcons.

Beaverton girls softball finish season with loss to Harrison

STANDISH The Beaverton Beavers and Harrison Hornets girls softball teams met up in Standish Tuesday, May 30. The District playoff game featured a late game surge to give Harrison a 6-3 victory over the Beavers. Heading to the sixth inning both teams were locked in a 3-3 tie.
