The hot bats continued Saturday morning when the Heat collected 11 hits in an 11-0 win over Legacy 16U. Gerow hit a first inning homerun to get the Heat started. Hochstetler had two hits and three RBIs; Herkel had two hits and a RBI. Zoe Merillat handled the pitching going all four innings giving up one hit while striking out three.
The Heat suffered their second loss of the weekend Saturday afternoon when the Intruders 16U beat them 10-4. The game started well for the Heat when Pahl and Gerow singled in the bottom of the first. Both would eventually score to give the Heat a 2-1 lead after one inning. The Intruders broke the game open in the second when they scored seven runs on five hits and a walk. Intruder pitcher Lauren Snyder limited the Heat to only three hits and one run the rest of the way. The Heat are 20-3-1 on the season.
