That lead stood until the bottom of the fifth when four straight hits and an error allowed Kalamazoo to score three runs to take the lead.
Gladwin tied the score in the top of the sixth. Avery Goldensoph singled to lead off the inning and was advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt by Blaise Millar. Lucas Mead followed with a single moving Goldensoph to third. A walk by Micah Irrer loaded the bases for Colin Sackrider who hit a fly ball to center field scoring Goldensoph.
