GLADWIN – The Gladwin junior varsity football moved to 2-0 on the season with a 40-0 win over Clare last Thursday. Nick Wheeler threw for 168 yards and a touchdown. Logan Kokotovich caught the touchdown pass and had 53 receiving yards. Logan Greenwood also had 53 receiving yards and a touchdown. Earl Esiline led the rushing attack with two touchdowns and 91 yards. Rodabaugh also had a touchdown for Gladwin.
The leading tacklers for Gladwin were Kokotovich, Rodabaugh, Devin Brewer and Dominic Coats with three each. “I was happy with our play,” said Coach Nate McKinnon. “We were really fast to the ball on defense. It was nice to get a big lead so everyone could get involved. The boys are really playing team ball right now and that’s what we are shooting for.”
The next game for Gladwin will be next Thursday when they travel to Farwell for a game at 6:30 p.m.
