GLADWIN – The junior varsity team had a very little trouble with Farwell last Thursday beating them 58-20. The Flying G’s jumped all over the Eagles early giving up only seven points in the first half while scoring 26. The second half produced a similar outcome with Gladwin outscoring Farwell 32-13 after the break.
“This was the most consistent game we played to date,” said Coach Troy Gary. “Our defense was good throughout as well as our offense.“ Nick Wheeler led the way offensively with 19 points. Kaden McDonald had 15. Wheeler and McDonald were also the leading rebounders for Gladwin with six and nine respectively. Damien Hendrickson chipped in with nine points while Connor Dee added six rebounds.
“We have had games where we went into 3-4 minute droughts on both ends of the floor. Tonight was much better,” added Gary. The 5-0 Flying G’s played Pinconning on Tuesday and will host Gladwin County rival on Friday.
