Four quarters was not enough to determine a winner Thursday night between the Gladwin Flying G’s and the Shepherd BlueJays, needing an additional eight minutes to declare Shepherd victorious in overtime. The final score, 50-46.
The lady G’s had a 20-16 lead entering the second half. A slow third quarter, however, shifted the scales of balance to Shepherd’s favor. The BlueJays relished in the third, scoring 13 points while holding Gladwin’s offense to only seven points.
