WEST BRANCH – The Gladwin girls season came to an end last week when they lost a close contest to Ogemaw Heights. The game got off to a good start for the Flying G’s when they raced out to a 14-5 first quarter lead. They continued to play well in the second quarter holding a 23-15 halftime lead.
After shooting over 30 percent from beyond the three-point line in the first half things went cold for Gladwin in the second half. They made only one of 14 three-pointers in the second half as the Falcons got back into the game. Ogemaw outscored Gladwin 32-21 in the half to win the game 47-44.
Delaney Cote had a big night in her final game for the Flying G’s scoring 21 points. Chloe Kokotovich also had a good game in her final appearance for the Flying G’s grabbing 13 rebounds to go along with her eight points. Gladwin finished the season with a 6-9 record.
