BEAVERTON – Football signups for grades 3, 4-5, 6-7, and 8 (boys or girls) are at BYFB Barn (northeast corner of the football field). Cost is $60 ($10 refund for volunteer workers). 

GLADWIN – The Big Boys Club of Gladwin County will be hosting a youth golf program at Gladwin Heights. 

Congratulations to Beaverton senior Seth Demoines on signing with Adrian College and becoming Beaverton’s first collegiate wrestler. 

Congratulations to Ali Aldrich on signing her letter of intent to compete in track and field at Saginaw Valley State University next spring. 

GLADWIN – The Gladwin High School boys track and field team competed at Regionals in Chip Hills on Friday where they placed 8th out of 15 teams overall. The G’s had four athletes who qualified for the state meet.  

BEAVERTON – On May 18, the Beaverton track and field team traveled upstate to Charlevoix for the Division 3 regionals. They scored big with six girls and three boys qualifying for the state finals to be held in Comstock Park on June 2.  

HARRISON – Mid Michigan Community College athletes recently completed a successful year in the classroom and in competitive play. Many student-athletes received recognition of their efforts from the Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA).
