BEAVERTON The Gladwin Area Friends of the Theatre (GAFT) is returning to a classic Broadway performance with The Fantasticks, a musical by Tom Jones. This is the world’s longest running musical with 42 years off-Broadway. The cast and crew are working to create a musical audiences will enjoy.

The Brook Retirement Strawberry Festival

The Brook Retirement communities are putting on a Strawberry Festival on Wednesday, July 19 at 1201 W. Cedar Avenue in Gladwin. The event if rom 5-7 p.m. and is free for the public. There will be free strawberry shortcake, face painting, and features the Red Accordion Band.

MICHIGAN The Michigan Department of Natural Resources asks hunters and others who spend time outdoors to keep an eye out for bear dens while in the field this fall and – if they find one – to report the location to the DNR to help with an ongoing bear management program.
