Kindness thank yous
To the Editor:
Well, we’re back again this week with more Christmas Kindness thank yous. It’s always fun to have people stop by the office, but I especially enjoy those who will, from time to time, stop by our home!
Last week Ken and Jan Hudson were out and about doing many of their annual good deeds and took the time to track us down (twice) with their Christmas Kindness donation! It’s always a hoot listening to Ken’s stories and Jan is just as sweet as she can be! Thank you both for a wonderful visit and for your kindness to Christmas Kindness!
Terri Foutch is another gal who will consistently stop by our home throughout the year with her latest meal deal donations. No one finds better deals on Legos, Nerf toys, and all the most popular requests of the year than Terri. Thanks, girlfriend!
Dave and I actually spend a lot of time out of the office picking up donations, and promoting Christmas Kindness all year long. This past week, the Kiwanis Club Of Gladwin invited us to come and sing for our Christmas Kindness donation. You’ve heard of “singing for your supper,” well, The Kiwanis Club had us sing for their generous donation and then welcomed us for an enjoyable meal at Riverwalk Place afterwards. Just one of the many perks for volunteering with Christmas Kindness.
The office was buzzing with activity as well. Janie and Brenda got to see their good buddy from Elmer’s, who not only spoils Christmas Kindness with a generous donation each year, but he also spoils our office girls with Christmas goodies! Nancy Peck brought in several new toys, six new coats, and a huge item that we will be able to use as a fundraiser in 2022. We were all excited about her visit.
Gratefulness goes out to Steven Ariganello, Bud and Ruth Messer, Joan David, Peggy Miceli, Gary Underwood, Ronald Kruske, Jacob Logging, Stephanie Frye, Jean Foerster, Gail Will, Linda Crawford, Mikie Bruner, Barbara Loomis, and Barbara Sisco for your kind and generous financial donations this week! We promise to do all we can to get the most “bang for your buck!”
There are so many of you that breeze in and breeze out leaving the fragrance of care and compassion, and I worry that you might not know how truly valuable you are. From the smallest act of kindness to the largest contribution, and everything in between, it all works together to accomplish the goal of bringing both warmth and joy to children at Christmastime! Thank you all for your kindness to Christmas Kindness!
