Thanks to JAG Motorcoach

To the Editor:

On Thursday, August 19, New Beginnings United Methodist Church had a group going to the Great Lakes Loon’s game in Midland.

En-route, our church bus had an engine issue. We made it to Dow Diamond, but that was the end of our poor bus.

A call was made to Darren Haines, and without hesitation, resulted in him being at the park ready to transport our group of 30 back to Gladwin. We all made it home safely that night with thanks and gratitude.

Blessings to you, Darren for coming to our rescue, our knight in shining armor! I felt this act of kindness needed to be acknowledged. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Enjoyed ORV parade

To the Editor:

My husband and I enjoyed the parade of ORVs and you would have too. It was not a long parade, but powerful and impressive.

I’m not sure, but I would estimate at least 200 or more ORVs, off road vehicles, side by sides, coming through downtown Gladwin and then the 70 miles of backroad.

Lots of family with pets waving took part during the parade. Thanks, we enjoyed the good weather!
