Thank you to GCRP officers
To the Editor:
The Gladwin County Republican Party would like to sincerely thank our outgoing officers for their hard work and efforts to promote and support the goals and growth of our local party. Randy Clough, LaVel Smith, Peggy Vanderhagen and John Sydenstricker have served with unfailing energy and committment! Corrine Wood is also thanked for her years as secretary. We look forward to your continued passionate and loyal support and aid in assisting our new officers! Again, we are very grateful for all you have done.

Appreciation of sympathy
To the Editor:
The wife of the late Tom Glenn, Carol Ann Glenn and her daughters, Catherine Jo Dixon and Colleen M. Lewis wish to express their appreciation to those, who offered such kindness, support, and messages of sympathy and comfort, in our bereavement.
Thanks to our neighbors and friends at Elk Lake Bar, Valley Farm Supply, the Gladwin County Health Department Employees, Keenoy Accounting, and those who sent flowers, cards, and posted online condolences.
Special thanks to Paul and Tina Lutz and Tom and Geraldine Gregory for their unconditional love and support without whom the past month would have been especially difficult. Please accept this as our personal thanks.

A letter to the community
To the Editor:
As the time draws closer for me to discontinue providing regular patient care, I have taken time to pause and reflect on a career and a calling that has evolved over the last 35 years. I would like to start by saying that both Colleen and myself consider it a privilege to have been able to serve this and the surrounding communities for the past 34 years. Going to work every day doing what you enjoy and helping people at the same time is something special. When immersed in it continually, it is easy to take for granted just how welcoming, loving and generous our communities are. We have been blessed in so many ways. With you, our family, dear friends, church family, by the people we have worked with at the office, with chiropractic colleagues and other healthcare professionals, with the people we have worked along side with in community service groups, at various volunteer events, and in the schools. Also by those thatserve us at the stores, restaurants, banks and so on.
Last but not least, by you our patients, who have entrusted their health to us. Many have become like an extension of our family. I can recall the privilege and honor of treating four generations of a family the same day. Don’t get me wrong, there have been difficult, stressful and trying times that we have walked through with each of the above mentioned groups but perseverance has always proved to produce a great outcome. There is an old saying that you cannot out give God and we are certainly a testimony to that. I say this because no matter how much we have poured ourselves into our communities physically, emotionally and spiritually, we have received, in return, blessings many times over.
I know as Dr. Josh and Sarah continue in that same fashion, they will one day look back and see that they have also been blessed beyond their imagination. Don’t worry, we will continue to be a part of this community, we’re not going to disappear, except for possibly a couple months in the winters. May God continue to bless you as He has certainly blessed us!
With love and respect,
Dr. Al and Colleen Sawaya
