Thoughts on church directory

To the Editor:

It has come to my attention that the church directory is no longer available.

If the churches want to advertise they must now pay a fee!

How very sad. From the smallest church to the largest church in this community, who does more to serve Gladwin County?

There are so many needed outreach programs that these churches provide to hurting, sad, and hungry people.

Surely this is more important than Salome’s Stars, Top 10 Movies, Couch Theater, DVD previews, Celebrity Extra and Hollywood, oh and Top Ten Video rentals and sales and Top Ten DVD/Blue-ray sales.

Granted this information may be of interest to some, but they can get this off their phones or the internet.

These churches actually do a lot in this community. They contribute to Humanity!

I would hope you will reconsider this decision. Thank you.

Thank you

To the Editor:

The family of Vera Parker would like to thank everyone who showed expressions of love and kindness during our Mom’s passing. Thank you to those who supported us by coming to the visitation and funeral.

Thanks for the many phone calls, cards, flowers, gifts, food, monetary gifts, and donations given to the Parkinson Foundation, Hospice of Gladwin, and the Pines Nursing Home in memory of our Mom.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers, which helped us get through a difficult time. Also…thank you for your love and friendship which is so appreciated and treasured.

Thanks to the Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home and staff, for their excellent support and service for us. Brad Lower, for his words of comfort and encouragement in his message and Mack’s on Main for the delicious meal served at Meadow Lanes Banquet Room for friends and family.

Finally…thanks to the Pines Nursing Home and all of their staff and volunteers, and Hospice of Gladwin, for the excellent care and love our Mom received over the past ten years. You too, were her home and family.

Sandra and Clark Wentz, Peggy and Dan Rowley, Kathy and Mark Endert, Lisa and Tom Largent and families

Thank you Gladwin

To the Editor:

I would like to thank the City of Gladwin and the people that were involved in the hazardous waste collection day. It was a great day for our community and our environment.
