During Sunday night’s storm, this tree was blown down and across the car owned by Bill Uhl at his father’s home a mile and one-half west of Gladwin. The rainstorm, which was accompanied by excessive lightning and strong winds, reportedly dumped two inches of water over Gladwin City and four inches at Secord Dam. ‘Many roads and culverts were washed out throughout the county. The state park was inundated and trailer houses were moved out. Folks living in low land along the Cedar River were harassed by high water around their homes.
