Robert Cassiday, age 81, of Gladwin, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024. He was born on September 12, 1942, in Gladwin, Michigan the beloved son of Everett and Alfreda Cassiday. Robert dedicated many years of his life working as a carpet salesman and installer, where he found fulfillment in assisting others.

Throughout his life, Robert had a deep passion for the outdoors. He cherished moments spent hunting and fishing. As he grew older, he developed a fondness for trips to the casino, where he enjoyed the excitement.

In 1999, Robert married Linda Bowen, his devoted partner of 25 years. Together, they shared a deep bond and created countless cherished memories. Robert is survived by his loving wife, Linda; and his children: Amy (Ray) Manges and John Cassiday. He was a cherished grandfather to Amanda (Don) Kingery, Kirk (Melissa) Tenwalde, Levi Tenwalde (April Spencer), and Lance (Amy) Tenwalde, and a doting great-grandfather to Zoey, Ford, Ruby, Jett, Adalynn, and Scarlett.

Robert will be dearly missed by his siblings: Duane Cassiday, Dana (Deb) Cassiday, Bonnie (Glenn) Martis, and Rushell Porter; as well as his sisterin- laws, Betty Cassiday and Janet Cassiday. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and members of Linda’s family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Alfreda Cassiday; and his siblings: Darwin Cassiday, Ed Cassiday, and Jerry Cassiday. He was also preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Louella Cassiday; brotherin- laws: James Porter and Gary Martis.

Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, 12 p.m., at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin. Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until the time of service. He was laid to rest at Grout Township Cemetery, Gladwin. Memorial Contributions may be made according to Hospice Compassus or the Beaverton Church of the Nazarene.
