Robert “Bob” Spitler Jr., 55, of Beaverton, MI passed away at The University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI on Nov. 8, 2015. He was born in Clare, MI on Sept. 8, 1960, the son of Robert Sr. and Delores (Scheele) Spitler.
On May 15, 1982, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Diane Barber in Beaverton. He was a lifetime resident of Gladwin County a member of the Beaverton Bear Camp. He was a fabricator for Howe Racing of Beaverton, retiring in 2010 and then became owner of the B-Town Party Store in Beaverton.
His memory will be cherished by his loving wife of 33 years, Diane Spitler of Beaverton and his children: Shawna (Adam) Dillon, Heather Spitler, Jordan Spitler, grandchildren Ava Lynn and Liberty James, all of Beaverton; sister Kim (Jon) Burgess of Sanford, along with many nieces, nephews and in-laws. He is preceded in death by his parents and nephew Lance Cpl. Ryan John Burgess, United States Marine Corp.
Funeral Services will be conducted by Pastor Martin Hodge on Friday, Nov. 13, 2015, 11 a.m., with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. at Beaverton Church of the Nazarene, Beaverton, MI. The family will receive friends on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015 from 1-9 p.m. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Beaverton, MI.
