Jack L. Alexander

Jack L. Alexander, age 88, of Gladwin, passed away on March 11, 2025. He was born in Farmers Creek, MI on October 29, 1936, to John and Lula Alexander.

Jack won a Michigan state championship in the M46 Horseshoe pitching tournament, one of his many awards that he earned. He managed and maintained a softball team for many years and was part of numerous bowling, darts, and billiards leagues throughout the years.

He was an avid wine maker and stock car driver in his earlier years and a big fan of country music.

Jack is survived by his children: Angela (Dave) Maladecki of Attica, MI; John Alexander Melbourne, FL: and Penny Jo Alexander of Albright Shores, MI; grandchildren: Jason (Bonnie) Swoish, Stephanie (Chad) Robson, Sara (Jeff) Tekavec, Stacey Alexander, Grant (Holly) Alexander, Christian (Brittany Simpson) Johnson; great-grandchildren: Noah, Hunter, Harper, Raelyn, Jayde, Nevaeh, Reese, Lily, Max, and Georgia; halfbrother, Greg Baird; also several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jacqueline Alexander; and brother, Ronald Alexander.

Friends visited on Sunday, March 16 from 3:30-8 p.m. at Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors-Capstick Chapel in Lapeer. A funeral service was held on Monday, March 17, 11 a.m., at Lynch & Sons. Pastor Bruce Lawton will officiate.

Jack will be laid to rest at Farmers Creek Cemetery in Metamora.
