Jac Patrick Groppuso
Beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend. It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jac Patrick Groppuso, age 81, on August 29, 2024 in Jacksonville Beach, FL. Jac was born on March 17, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan. Jac was a cherished son of the late Nancy (Martino) and William Groppuso. Jac grew up in a loving family along with his brother, the late Joe Groppuso. He was fortunate to live close to family his entire childhood.
Jac was a devoted husband to Sally (Holstein) and father to his only child, Shannon Brady (Groppuso).
He was a proud grandfather to Grace and Joey Brady, who brought him joy. He enjoyed spending time with them at his lake house in Gladwin, Michigan. Uncle to Rochelle Stark (Groppuso), Kirsten Groppuso, Sharla Ault and Don Ault. Family was very important to him.
Jac was an ardent outdoorsman. He enjoyed his fall hunts, and his weekly shoots at The Harrison Gun Club.
His daily morning walks with his beloved neighbors were never missed.
Known for his strong work ethic, his career spanned many years from his days as a lineman with Detroit Edison to his sales and managerial positions at AMP Inc. and KW Associates. He later volunteered his time with the Sugar Springs Lake Committee and held a position as commissioner in Butman Township. Jac’s hobbies included fishing and building fishing rods, hiking, hunting and spending time with friends and family.
Jac’s warm spirit and laughter will be missed by all who knew him. He will be missed by his daughter, grandchildren, family and close-knit circle of friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held in November. We will raise a glass to toast this kind, loving man.
