Eugene “Gene” Strine

Eugene “Gene” Strine, age 85, of Beaverton, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on December 16, 1938, in Pontiac, Michigan, to Ellsworth and Gertrude (Grovesteen) Strine. Gene was united in marriage to Sharon Easton and together they shared 62 years of love and companionship.

Gene dedicated much of his life to his work as a mechanic for General Motors until his retirement.

Following retirement, they moved to Beaverton, where he enjoyed the peacefulness of lake life and indulged in his hobbies. Gene found great joy in working on his 1935 Ford Roadster, fishing, engaging in card games, and cruising the waters on a boat.

Above all else, Gene treasured his family and adored his grandchildren. He found delight in spending time with them, often teasing and sharing laughter. His legacy lives on through his wife, Sharon; his children: Mark (Lisa) Strine and Kevin (Pam) Strine; his cherished grandchildren: Nick, Zack, Destinee, and Dylan; as well as his brother, Lee Strine.

Gene is preceded in death by his parents, Ellsworth and Gertrude Strine: and his brother, Alan Strine.
