Charles Milford Broka, age 82, of Hope, MI passed away at home surrounded by his family on Friday, June 21, 2024. Charles was born on March 20, 1942 to the late Harold and Orrine Broka of Beaverton. Charles married Lynn Loree on August 26, 1980.
Charles was a manager at a few companies over the years until he started L&M Gutter. Charles was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was also a big supporter of his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed watching their sports activities or traveling to Florida to work with his son and grandsons on projects.
Charles is survived by his son, Russ (Allyson) Broka of Middleburg Florida; daughter, Robin (Ryan) Frick of Idaho, and Amber (Dwayne) Valley of Hope.
He has seven grandchildren: Kierra (Tim) Fugh of Idaho, Seth, Luke, Levi and Selah Broka of Middleburg, Florida, and Payton and Regan Valley of Hope. He is survived by his brothers: William (Margaret) Broka, and Harold “Dean” (Sandra) Broka of Beaverton, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law, Vernon and Raymond Loree.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Lynn Broka; parents, Harold and Orrine Broka; brother, David Broka; and in-laws, Vernon and Martha Loree.
A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on June 28, 2024 at Midland Free Methodist Church, with Pastor Gene LeForge officiating.
Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. until time of service. A private family burial will take place at Old Hope Cemetery in Hope, MI.
