Carrol Louise Hutson passed away at Gladwin Nursing & Rehabilitation Community on Monday, Oct. 26, 2015. She was born in Gladwin on May 19, 1927, the daughter of Orville and Mildred (Carper) Conrad.
On May 31, 1947, she was united in marriage to, Wayne Carl Hutson. After 43 years of the ups and downs of a lifelong and loving marriage, Wayne predeceased her in 1990.
Along with her love of gardening, fishing, bowling, and crochet, she greatly enjoyed the companionship of others. In today’s terminology, she was a social butterfly that simply enjoyed people and all they had to offer. As a lifelong member and ten-year secretary of the F.O.E. Gladwin Aerie 3292 Auxiliary, she is honored for the many dinners she helped organize for various charitable organizations as well as her commitment to the standards and beliefs of the Aerie.
Her memory will be cherished by her son: Terry (Regina) Hutson, her grandchildren: Stacee Dallas and Stephen Holcomb, Steven Dallas, Tressa Jantzen, Todd (Joni) Hutson, Aubrey (Heather) Hutson, Andrea Hutson, and Terrel Hutson; 9 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Carrol is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brother Orville, sister Leah Breault, sister Evelyn Bard and her cherished only daughter, Dawn Marie Dallas, who passed in 2007.
Funeral Services were conducted by Pastor Skip Metzler on Friday, Oct. 30, 2015, at 1:30 p.m. with visitation beginning at 12 p.m. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, MI. The family received friends on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. She was laid to rest at Midland Memorial Gardens, Midland, MI.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled Veterans of America.
