Beaverton teacher celebrates National Guard promotion with students

Kossi Komlassan has been teaching 10th graders math at Beaverton High School for three years.
During that time, he has also served as an officer in the Army National Guard after 10 years on active duty with deployments to Iraq and Korea.
His dual careers intersected Thursday when the school hosted a ceremony to celebrate his promotion from the rank of captain to major.
