In the first game of the season, the Gladwin soccer team lost 7-1 to Standish, the squad everyone expected to rampage through the Jack Pine Conference for a second straight year.
The Panthers are holding up their end of that deal, heading into this week without a loss in conference play, but the Flying G’s made a point on Thursday in a 4-1 loss that didn’t look much like the first meeting.
