The Gladwin Business and Professional Association (GBPA) is sponsoring three free concerts this summer on Thursday evenings in the City of Gladwin. The first concert featuring the Uncle Groovy Band will be Thursday, July 29 in the street at the corner of Arcade St. and Cedar Ave. near the parking lot of Piper’s Pub.
Uncle Groovy has been a Classic Rock and Blues staple in the Central Michigan area for the last 15 plus years. Named for their Bassist, Will “Uncle Groovy” Jackson, the band has been rocking area stages for quite some time. From regularly ringing in the new year at Soaring Eagle Casino, to five consecutive years at Tip-Up Town in Houghton Lake, as well as many of the areas finest clubs and lounges, these fellas are the go-to guys for 60s and 70s classic rock, Motown, and down-home blues.
Following on Thursday, August 26 at Riverwalk Place, 777 W. Cedar Ave., the Todd Michael Band will be performing. And on September 2, the Coleman Road Band, playing classic rock, blues, soul and R&B, will be at Pale Blue Stone House, 500 W. Cedar Ave.
Make sure to stay tuned for more information on the August 26 and September 2 performances. Bring your chairs to this rain or shine event! Each concert will be held from 7-9 p.m. For more information, feel free to call 989-429-3272.
