Racers put their pedal to the metal as they are signaled to start.
The Thunder on the Strip event will be taking place on Saturday, September 9. The event will be held at Zettel Memorial Airport, 735 S. State St., Gladwin.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the racing starts at 11 a.m., all cars and trucks are welcome to register for the 1/8 mile drag race. There is a $5 entry fee per person, although kids 10 and under may enter for free.
