Crossing into New York, Loren McLaughlin and his hiking partner John found themselves once again traversing a rocky stretch of the Appalachian Trail (AT). The rocky trail led to larger rocks, and eventually boulders the two would need to scale. McLaughlin recalls a particular boulder with a rebar ladder reaching over it they had to climb.
