GLADWIN Matthew Sparkman, a 62-yearold man, rode his bike 566 miles. His trip began in Gladwin and went to Lake Michigan. From there, Sparkman rode to the Leelanau Peninsula, then to the Mackinac Bridge. On his way home he rode through Grayling and Gaylord. What makes Sparkman’s 566 mile trip even more impressive is that he is an amputee, losing his leg and gaining a multitude of other injuries…
