GLADWIN – At the Gladwin County Fair the Veteran’s Affairs office will have a booth all week where veterans can get information. They will also be providing free lunch or dinner for veterans at the 4-H Concession Stand.
Saturday, July 20 will be Veterans Appreciation Day at the fair with free entry for all vets. The VA will offer free lunch or dinner at the 4-H Concession as well as free entry to the grandstands for the Bump n Run event.
At the Gladwin Airport Fly-In on July 20 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. they will be at the airport offering free breakfast or lunch to any veteran. They will also raffle off four air adventure rides on a restored WWII training plane (a Vultee BT-13). Raffle tickets will be available all week at the Veterans Affairs booth at the fair and also at the Fly-In. We will hold two drawings (two tickets at 10 a.m. and two tickets at noon). Must be present to win.
