GLADWIN COUNTY – The Gladwin County Democrats are suspending the November and December meetings past the holidays due to statewide regulations and in anticipation of the inauguration of President-Elect, Joe Biden and Vice-President Elect, Kamila Harris on January 20.
As Americans await the progress of a vaccine addressing the COVID-19 pandemic, the Gladwin County Democratic Party (GCDP) plans to come together either in person or virtually in January. Details on future meetings will be made available in the Record & Clarion and on the party’s website at gladwincountydemocraticparty.weebly.com.
Along with expressing appreciation for the return of U.S. Senator Gary Peters to another term, GCDP Chairman Michael Fields lauded all the local Democratic candidates for their efforts; adding that for Jerry and Celia it was their second time facing gerrymandering.
“In the coming months we and our county will find how much we miss Laura as our County Clerk. She put up a vigorous campaign and is sure to be a success in the future, perhaps in a higher office,” Fields commented.
“Thank you and best wishes for your future successes to all our Democratic candidates. Stay safe on Thanksgiving and Christmas and have a peaceful and prosperous new year.”
