The Gladwin County Farm Bureau has teamed up with MSU Extension to present ‘Keepin’ it Rural,’ a breakfast club series that will feature breakfast and a guest speaker.
This series will hold its first event on Thursday, July 29 at 7:30 a.m. and continue monthly through October. The first breakfast club event will feature Speaker of the Michigan House of Representatives, Jason Wentworth. The Farm Bureau asks for everyone to join them for breakfast and conversation. Each month the group plans to discuss a current agriculture topic and hear from a guest speaker.
Future speakers and guests include Tony Wood and Chad Donahue with the Ag Science Program, Matt McKimmy with McKimmy Ag Services and a crop update from MFB Crop Specialist, Theresa Sisung. The cost of the event is only to cover the breakfast and will be $10 at the door or $7 with an RSVP.
A reservation must be made two weeks prior to the event to receive the discounted entry. Those interested may RSVP by calling Vicki at 989-386-4424 or by emailing email@example.com.
These events will be held on the last Thursday of each month at 7:30 a.m. at The Stone House (the old Century 21 building) located at 500 W. Cedar Ave. in Gladwin.
