Traffic Stop

GLADWIN – A total of nine police vehicles, including Gladwin County Sheriff cruisers and a few unmarked police cars pulled over a white box truck on Hockaday Rd. near Smith Rd. (south of M-61) on Thursday, Feb. 4. 

According to a report from the Gladwin County Sheriff’s Office, officers were notified on Thursday morning of a white box truck heading north on Hockaday Rd. that was being followed by undercover vehicles. The officers were made aware that the driver was a possible suspect in a Criminal Sexual Conduct (CSC) case from West Bloomfield that was within their jurisdiction. 

The Gladwin County officers were requested to pull over the vehicle with their marked cruisers. After the vehicle stopped, the West Bloomfield Police Department arrested the driver. The driver was then taken to the Gladwin County Jail to await transportation to West Bloomfield. 

No further information has been provided by the West Bloomfield Police Department, any future information released will be reported.
