The John Alden Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution presented a donation of goods to the Gladwin Shelterhouse which were accepted by Emily Homberger-Sieg, B.S.Ed., LMSW-Clinical Blueprint for Safety Coordinator/Gladwin Services Coordinator.
The cleaning, laundry and household items were part of a Women’s Issues collection led by Chair Nancy Pnacek during the months of November and December. The donation also included gas cards and laundromat vouchers.
The Gladwin Shelterhouse served 301 children and 811 adults in 2021, providing not only shelter but mentoring, therapy, emergency shelter, basic needs assistance, guidance in navigating the legal system and other services. The John Alden Chapter is part of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution which is a women’s service organization for those who have proven Patriots of the American Revolution.
