GLADWIN – Gladwin City Council Member Sarah Kile hosted a Community Conversations event on Saturday, Jan. 4 at Northern Expresso in Gladwin. The event was designed to allow the council member to be better informed about the community’s concerns, as well as give the community a chance to ask her questions.
The event went from 9-11 a.m. and included coffee and muffins provided by Kile. Many community members stopped by throughout the event.
The conversation was guided by the interest of the community. Topics of conversations included the second amendment, downtown landscaping and development, the proposed raise of Gladwin City Manager Chris Shannon, the Christmas Parade, Project Rising Tide, and more.
Going forward Kile plans to hold these meetings quarterly, at different locations around the City of Gladwin.
“I’m grateful that you all showed up,” Kile said to the assembled crowd at the end of the event.
