GLADWIN – MSU Extension in Gladwin will be offering “Cooking for One”, a nutrition and cooking series of six classes to be held Thursday afternoons from Sept. 12 through Oct. 17. Class time is from 1:30-3:30 p.m. with hands-on cooking and other activities especially geared to those preparing foods for small households. There is no cost to this class.
Whether you are living on your own for the first time, a single college student, a hard-working adult, or a senior on your own, cooking for one (or two) can be fun! Over the course of the six lessons you will: learn ways to make cooking for one simple and enjoyable; learn helpful tips and tricks to making healthy choices, like eating well and being active; participate in cooking (and sampling) real recipes for one (or more).
Classes will be held at the MSU Extension office in Gladwin, 555 West Cedar Avenue, in the lower level. To register for the class, please contact Community Nutrition Instructor Coral Beth Rowley at the MSU Extension office, 989-426-7741.
Accommodations for persons with disabilities may be requested by contacting Coral Beth at 989-426-7741 by Sept. 9, 2019 to make arrangements. Requests received after this date will be fulfilled as much as possible.
