BEAVERTON – A Community Vision Workshop was held on Tuesday, June 4, at the Beaverton Activity Center. Community members met to discuss and share their vision for the future of Beaverton.

During the meeting the group broke into small groups and were given worksheets to fill out to help answer specific questions about the needs of Beaverton and it’s positive assets. At the end of the session the groups were asked to come up with what they wanted for Beaverton’s future. They then presented their top three ideas to the group. The ideas were placed on a board and the group as a whole voted on their three favorites.

Across the board the most discussed need for Beaverton was housing. Different participants discussed a need for quality affordable housing, as well as the need to utilize existing lots within the city limits.

Everything discussed by the group was collected and will be reviewed for Beaverton’s soon to be updated Master Plan.
