GLADWIN – Mary Chartier, Certified Piano Teacher is pleased to announce that three young piano students recently performed in Piano Pedagogy Mock Auditions at Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant.

The auditions were held on Nov. 16, and were hosted by Dr. Adrienne Wiley, Professor of Piano, Pedagogy and Class Piano at Central Michigan University School of Music.

Ethan Raybourn, 12; Travis Dantzer, 15; and Chloe Danitz, 17, performed the following piano selections.

Ethan Raybourn performed Invention in C minor by J.S. Bach and Sonatina Op. 55, Nr. 3 by Kuhlau.

Travis Dantzer performed Sonata in D Major by Haydn and Prelude Nr. 2 by Gershwin.

Chloe Danitz performed Sonata in D minor, Op. 31, Nr. 2 by Beethoven and Fantaisie Impromptu, Op. 66 by Chopin.

Ethan is a 7th grade student at Oscoda Richardson School and is the son of Jeff and Imse Ockey-Raybourn of Oscoda.

Travis is a 10th grade student at Saginaw Arts and Science Academy (SASA) in Saginaw and is the son of Mark and Sharol Dantzer of West Branch.

Chloe is a Senior at Ogemaw Heights High School and is the daughter of Douglas Danitz and Christine Danitz of West Branch.

The audience consisted of parents, teachers and students.

All are students of Mary Chartier, Certified Piano Teacher, of Secord Lake. Chartier is a member of the Bay Area Music Teachers, Michigan Music Teachers, Music Teachers National and is a church Organist/Pianist.
