GLADWINFall marks the transition from summer to winter and brings vibrant colors to our community, but it can also be difficult for those grieving a recent loss. This time may increase feelings of sadness, regret, or loneliness, especially amid holiday celebrations.

GLADWINOn Saturday, Oct. 11, the City of Gladwin hosted its second Gladwin Gathers event – Pumpkin Painting in the Park, bringing dozens of families together for an afternoon of creativity, laughter, and community spirit.

The Gladwin County District Library helped kick off this week’s Homecoming festivities Monday by hosting Homecoming At The Library, an event celebrating all things Blue and White that featured games, snacks and special crafts, along with a visit from the Flying G’s mascot.

On Oct.1 Beaverton’s Gem Theater turned 85 years old. Though it is not the oldest business operating in the county – the Gladwin County Record holds that distinction at 147 years – but the Gem is old enough that there are very few who can remember its opening day on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 1940.

GAFT’s Presents The Curious Savage Oct. 16-18
