On Thursday, November 16, Beaverton held their first annual Buck Pole at Calhoun Campground in Beaverton, with prizes supplied by Sara Haney, Beaverton Hardware, and the Beaverton Tavern. Special thanks to Ray Nau, Brad Davis, and Shawn Gerbe for helping put on the event.

On Monday, November 20. both Beaverton and Gladwin City Councils met for their last meeting of the month. This meeting was the first City Council meeting for new City Manager Shannon Sirpilla, after she began her position as Beaverton City Manager on November 2.

GLADWIN COUNTY Family Farm and Home has teamed up with the community to help donate socks to Veterans in Gladwin. Family Farm and Home Store manager, Mike Markey, explained that twice a year Family Farm and Home sells heavier weight socks as their item of the month to customers, two pairs for $6.

GLADWIN COUNTY On Saturday, November 18, in the parking lot of Christ the King Lutheran Church, there was a successful Gladwin/Beaverton Community Food Distribution (GBCFD). Almost 22,000 lbs. of food from the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan was passed out to 279 households, serving 749 individuals.
