DEAR PAW’S CORNER: I read about a person who did not vaccinate their house cats, and after one of them got out, lost all of them to feline leukemia. I can relate to this person. I only have one cat, and I thought, for a while, that I could get away without vaccinating her.

Introducing a new pet to your cat

DEAR PAW’S CORNER: I recently adopted a year-old puppy. “Max” is a friendly, well-socialized dog, and during the trial stay a month ago, my 10-year-old cat, “Nora,” seemed to tolerate him. Well, on the second day that Max was home, he started barking excitedly.

Christmas Kindness Kudos

What a week for Christmas Kindness. As we headed into our last couple weeks before Distribution Day on Saturday, Dec. 21, we were more than excited to see many of our fellow “Gladwinites” make their way to our office bringing monetary donations, as well as donations focusing on warmth and joy.
