GLADWINSkeels Christian School (SCS) is celebrating 50 years of educating children in Gladwin County! Pastor Carl Briggs, with the support of Skeels Baptist Church, founded the school in 1975 as a Kindergarten through fourth grade program.

The Department of Veterans Affairs has just expanded the use of the Veterans Legacy Memorial (VLM) -- the online digital platform dedicated to the memory of veterans who have passed away. Until now, a page for a veteran was created, usually by family, after that veteran died.

BEAVERTONBeaverton sports legends Peter Maxwell, Jake Oard and Ryan Longstreth were inducted into the school’s Hall of Fame Thursday night prior to the varsity basketball team’s victory over Shepherd.Maxwell was All-State in track and also a member of the 2002 basketball team.
