MONSON, ME After 2,000 miles and five months of daily hiking, Loren McLaughlin and his hiking partner John faced the final 100 miles of the Appalachian Trail (AT). From Monson, ME they would enter the 100-mile wilderness – the first of two final challenges remaining on their journey.
