Flying G’s bowling has continued success

Gladwin High School Boys Bowling Team worked all season and that work paid off big. The undefeated team made it to Division 3 Michigan High School Athletic Association Finals held at the Jax 60 Bowling Complex in Jackson, Michigan, on March 3-4.

GLADWIN The Gladwin Flying G’s boys freshman basketball team was in action last Tuesday night, February 28. The Flying G’s played host to the Bullock Creek Lancers, defeating their opponents 59-57. “It was a roller coaster of a game,” Bryan Randle, Gladwin coach, said after the game.

WEST BRANCH The playoffs kicked off Monday night for the Flying G’s boys basketball team. Traveling to West Branch to face off with the Ogemaw Heights Falcons, Gladwin found themselves down 13 points early in the third quarter. The game appeared over, momentum heavily favoring the Falcons.

Beaverton boys basketball finish regular season with victory over Harrison

BEAVERTON The Beaverton boys varsity basketball team finished their regular season with a 66-28 victory over the Harrison Hornets Thursday night. “The guys did a really good job moving the ball against Harrison’s zone,” Shad Woodruff, Beaverton coach, said after the game.

GLADWIN Girls basketball was the second of three games between Gladwin and Beaverton on Friday night. The game remained close between the two but the Beaverton girls pulled out the 47-40 victory, claiming the Cedar Cup for the for the first time since September.

Gladwin’s 12U Gladiator team head to State Playoffs following District title and League wins

The Gladwin Gladiators 12U hockey team competed in the MAHA (Michigan Amateur Hockey Association) District 5 playoff tournament from February 10 to 12. District 5 consists of teams from Bay City, Flint, Midland, Mt. Pleasant, Port Huron, Saginaw, Sanilac and Gladwin.
