Fall registration for Gladwin County Youth Soccer

GLADWIN The Gladwin County Youth Soccer Association is open for registration for fall soccer until July 31 with no late fee, or from August 1-5 with a $15 late fee.

GLADWIN On August 12, at Piper’s Pub, located at 238 W. Cedar Avenue, there will be a Corn hole Tournament fundraiser benefiting Gladwin Youth Football. To enter your team there will be a cost of $50. The event will begin at 2 p.m. and will have prizes.

Linwood American Legion Post 239 Baseball Team finished second in the 2023 Great Lakes Bay Classic Ultimate Strike Zone Tournament. Post 239 finished three in games against Detroit Prospects – Rice, Michigan Select, Utility Travel, Saginaw Sugar Beets.

Jeremy Lender of Lapeer aced the eighth hole “The Knob”, while golfing with his cousins from Gladwin, at Devil’s Knob on June 26, 2023. Jeremy used his 9 iron and an orange Nitro ball he had borrowed from the group in front of them to accomplish this feat.

SIMPSON TO PLAY IN MHSSCA ALL-STAR GAME

All-conference/all-district/all-region/all-stater Grace Simpson, who graduated in May, is still finding ways to put in work on the softball field. She is representing Beaverton Jr./Sr. High School in the Michigan High School Softball Coaches Association All-Star Game on July 19, 10 a.m.
