Arather suboptimal start did not stop the Beaverton football team Friday night in a season-opening 20-12 victory at Evart.
The Beavers kicked off to start the proceedings and the ball went out of bounds, leaving the Wildcats with the ball at their own 35-yard line.
They ran a perfectly-executed double pass play from Willie Ray to a wide-open Wriley Ray for a 65-yard touchdown on the first play.
