Ross Lake Park lights

To the Editor: This is a thank you to Bob Fruchey who works so diligently, every year, to make Ross Lake Park glow for all to enjoy! The displays hit on every genre but most importantly the beautiful, magical Nativity display. Without the birth of Christ, there would be no Christmas celebration.
This photo was taken at the Gladwin Christmas parade in 2010. At that time, the parade ended in the city park, so they marched past the courthouse and entered the park via the street between the courthouse and the sheriff’s office. After assembling in the park, the community enjoyed a fireworks display. The park was also adorned with lighted decorations. Unfortunately, persistent vandalism put an end to that practice.
